We will engage in Qigong instruction and practice, deep relaxation, and mindfulness meditation with singing bowls and meditative chanting. The Qigong practice flows naturally into deep relaxation and this establishes the conditions for meditation to be most effective by slowing down and opening the body, mind and spirit for nurturing and healing.

Qigong instruction draws from ancient traditional Chinese health practices, its relationship to acupuncture, and to Indian yogic practices. We will explore how our energy/prana/chi flows through our bodies, how it becomes blocked, how we can remove blocks and move toward optimum health. Qigong practice is done using slow movements coordinated with the breath.

Following Qigong practice, you will be guided into deep relaxation. From this relaxed physical and mental state we will move into a period of guided meditation maintaining mindfulness of our energy as it flows through our entire being enhancing mental, emotional, and spiritual clarity and well being. We will close with a healing meditation.

Group Acupuncture with Margaret Lilly Next held on Wed, Mar 2, 2016 at 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm
This enrollment runs from Wed Mar 2, 2016 - Wed Mar 2, 2016
New to acupuncture or just need a tune up? Gain health benefits including recharged and balanced energy, an immune system boost, reduced stress and anxiety levels, and an overall feeling of well-being. This workshop is a community-oriented group session that takes place in our yoga studio. Experience the calming affect of auricular (ear) acupuncture in a relaxing, supportive small group setting.

Acupuncture has been practiced for thousands of years. It’s based on the principle that our Life Energy, or Qi, is our most precious resource. When it is balanced, our bodies are able to do what they do best: take care of our health. When our Qi is out of balance, our immune systems become compromised and disease can manifest. Whether it arrives in the form of fatigue, chronic headaches, addictions, or other debilitating conditions, re-balancing your body’s Qi can relieve many ailments and help the body to heal itself.

This enrollment runs from Fri Mar 4, 2016 - Fri Mar 4, 2016
In our lives we seem to think that accomplishments and business is virtuous, until the day comes when we realize we are broken from so much effort.

Yin Yoga practice offers you the opportunity to explore effortlessness while rejuvenating the connective tissue of the major joints of the body. The Yin approach encourages true physical health and sound emotional well being through longer held poses with relaxed musculature. As we move into this slow and deep practice our focus will be on connecting to the ‘Inner Teacher’ who resides in that place of nurturing stillness within all of us, setting the stage for meditation and contemplative practices.

This is suitable for all levels of yogis. Pre-registration recommended. $20 per session.
