Mindfulness is common buzzword today and it means paying attention on purpose and non-judgmentally. In this class teens learn practical skills to help them reduce stress and improve their quality of life. Through gentle movement, breathing techniques and meditation, teens will learn to manage day-to-day stressors at school, at home, in relationships, and in other areas of their lives. This class is appropriate for kids ages 12-15. Cost $20.

Yoga Basics Workshop with Amy Rinaldi Sat, Sep 10, 2016 at 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
An interactive, introductory workshop designed for those new to yoga. This workshop provides a low-key, non-competitive space for the curious yogi to “get their feet wet” exploring some basic yoga poses. These yoga principles can form the foundation for other poses as your yoga practice evolves. Using breath and verbal cues, we will begin to feel how yoga theory, breath, and asana (physical poses), manifest in the body. This helps to create awareness in the body, a healthy relationship with our bodies, and develop the connection with the mind for overall well-being. Proper alignment tools and a nurturing environment empower the new student.

Props, including yoga mats, are available at the studio, though you may choose to bring your own. Please dress comfortably with layers that allow you to move.
